To “See” the Kingdom

Episode Two – Jesus said, “No one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.” (John 3:3-8)

One night, an educated and learned man named Nicodemus came to Jesus to find out what He taught. (John 3:1-36)

Jesus came straight to the point and told Nicodemus that he needed divine help to see and understand God’s Kingdom. To enter it, he needed to be “born from above.”

A Spiritual Kingdom

God’s Kingdom is not a natural, earthly kingdom but a spiritual Kingdom from heaven. It is unlike anything on earth and cannot be understood by natural means. The Holy Spirit must reveal it, as it cannot be comprehended with the natural mind.

The kingdoms of this world are subject to change, decay, and are temporal. God’s Kingdom is everlasting and has splendour beyond all earthly comparison.

The Eternal Nature of God’s Kingdom

We read about great kingdoms of history, such as those of Rome and Greece, and we can visit their ruins. But God’s Kingdom has no ruins and will last forever.

Jesus said, “There are some standing here who shall not taste of death till they see the Son of Man coming in His Kingdom.” (Matthew 16:28).

Experiencing the Kingdom

Each time Jesus healed a person, the Kingdom of God came to that person in a personal way. Every time Jesus raised the dead or performed a miracle, He brought the future Kingdom into the present and made it real.

People experienced it in their lives, and when they believed and received Him as Lord, they “saw” the Kingdom. The same Kingdom is here today, right here for you to enter by believing and receiving Jesus as Lord and Saviour.

The Call to Enter the Kingdom

God’s Kingdom is governed by the commands of Christ alone, who is its King. Its challenge confronts you. You are face-to-face with God’s invitation to become a citizen of His eternal Kingdom.

This is why Jesus said, “Repent, make way for His Kingdom in your heart.” No man can serve two masters—there is no dual citizenship.

If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus, then He is not yet your King, and His Kingdom is not ruling in you.

The Kingdom of Love, Peace, and Righteousness

God rules the entire universe and is offering you His eternal Kingdom, where love, peace, and righteousness reign. You can be part of it by receiving Jesus as your Lord and King. (Mark 12:34).

Jesus is the Son of God

Jesus is the Son of God. The Bible reveals the eternal “Godhead” as the everlasting Father, the incorruptible Son, and the divine Holy Spirit. (Colossians 2:9, Romans 1:20).

This truth is declared in many scriptures. (John 14, 1 John 1, 2 John). Jesus was sent by the Father, was anointed by the Holy Spirit, and was Himself the eternal, immortal Son. (Hebrews 1:5-13). He is totally one with God. (John 1:1).
